It’s 2:44 am Central Time, and I can’t seem to pry my eyes off the YouTube videos featuring Obama, Al Gore, Bill & Hillary and Joe. The DNC and announcement of Barack’s running mate have set politics into a frenzy. What were a long primary period and a period of political fatigue, are gone. I’m so incredibly excited about what we can achieve in the coming year.
Earlier this year, I believed that Hillary was the best candidate for President. Through my many posts, I’ve detailed my trust in her leadership, ambition and experience above the mere fact that she’s a woman. I wanted Hillary to make the situation better, so Barack can instill the change we need. But I was wrong. He’s able to do both.

The DemConvention has been pretty broad in terms of specific plans for these changes outside of campaign promises, so I’ll be interested in watching the debates online and reading more analyses. (Thanks to the internet, it no longer matters if I don’t have cable or CNN.)
But for now, here are some of my favorite speeches, starting with, of course, Barack’s acceptance speech:

Bill Clinton:

Good night internets!
