For the past few days, I’ve been going through a bit of a dilemma. My friend’s hosting a party on Friday to watch the opening of the Chinese Olympics, and the theme is to dress as your favorite Olympics’ athlete.
Now, I don’t know many of the Olympic athletes. I’ve been so busy keeping up with the press about the Olympics in general that I haven’t focused that much on the actual sports. As always, I figure that I’ll watch the game and will root for someone once I get into it.
So who should I dress up as? I figure I have three options: 1) dress as a Chinese athlete- I already got the Chinese part down, so all I need are some exercise shorts and my Adidas Olympics jacket, 2) I can go as something completely opposite of what I look like, i.e. a blond weightlifting champion from Russia or Yao Ming OR 3) go as a trampoline athlete cuz really, what’s cooler than a trampoline?
What should I do? Please vote via comment section or email.
- Go as a Chinese athlete
- Go as someone to whom I bare no resemblance
- Go as trampoliner (is that what they’re called?)
I vote Chinese athlete, but only because you’ve got the super-cool jacket. Otherwise, I’d say trampoliner for the ridiculous factor
