I’m officially 24. It’s a bit scary, not just thinking about my own mortality but also the fact that I can’t act like a 4 year old anymore. Using my youth/naivety as an excuse is going away.
If last year’s birthday theme (and it turns out year) was about debauchery, then I want this year to be about moderation.
The fresh freedom of being a bright young college student is giving way to the responsibility that comes with it. I’m learning to control the resources that I have, i.e. money and learning to save.
So here’s to a year of moderation and the Golden Mean.

I think the trick is to keep hanging out with people who share a similar childlike spirit and maintain it by hanging out with them. The rest of the world can see our outer, responsible selves - they don’t have to know about the secret young’uns we are.

The key to moderation is “everything in moderation” - even moderation.
Happy birthday!
