quickie

Quick sum up:

  • Oscar recommended the following movies.  I thought it would be similar to his previous suggestions: great but not good enough to own.  BUT no.  I love love love:
    • Blazing Saddles- it has Gene Wilder; do I need to say more?  It’s insanely funny, completely racist in a mocking sort of way.
    • Friday- with Chris Tucker and Ice Cube… ehhh, it was aight.  Nothing too funny.  I guess just another weed movie of the 80s.  Chris Tucker was kinda hilarious and oh so young.
    • It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia- Hold-up-a-minute! I do not see Danny Devito anywheres in this… why is his effing face on the effing box?  I don’t care if he’s executive produced, wrote or heavily influenced this TV show.  I wanna see his friggin’ face.  You don’t see Marky Mark putting his face on the cover of Entourage, do you now?  That said, I love it.  I miss Philly so much, especially in the first episode, when they were walking through Penn’s campus.  *sigh*  But it’s hilarious, and I love it.
  • I lost 5-10 lbs.  I’m thinking it’s closer to 10 but not going to be too optimistic about it just yet.  Of course, Vegas is coming up this weekend, and I won’t be fasting, while I travel.  We’ll see how things work out.
  • I’m starving or as Ty put it, no I’m not starving; I’m just hungry.  But it’s so much hungry!!!  :o P
  • Ty’s car is now back with his owner, and I heart my car so much.  I missed it so and had to get it washed because there was a huge layer of dust from the construction.
  • Alen Greenspan’s autobiography is turning out to be somewhat of an interesting read.  Nothing to riveting about it, but it’s still pretty good compared to the other (auto) biographies.
  • Did I mention I’m hungry?
  • Got great earrings from Ashby Flea Market this weekend, and it turns out that while doing a huge amount of laundry last night, I’ve also been able to pack my suitcase for Vegas.  Yeah, productivity!
  • I can’t wait to have drinks with people tonight.  That reminds me, I need to confirm attendance… k back.
  • Eastern Promises is a great movie.  Michael Croonenberg (or however you spell his name)… magnificent!
  • It’s still hard losing Ty and Seher.  Oscar’s hugely busy.  I’ve been hanging out with Laura and Wawi and Liese and Claudio and sorry if I forgot to mention your name.  It’s been nice, but very different.  Oh well.  I guess life can’t be helped.  It just sucks that I have to fend all for myself now.  Although to be honest, it’s turning out to be a great life lesson.

K, I’m done.  I don’t know how I’m supposed to last 27 more days of this (I’m adding three days in the end to compensate for the Vegas trips).
